Over the past year I’ve had the honor of being a small part of the team at Emerald. I have seen first hand the immense value in this organization in creating a community that welds peer recovery support and quality education. Watching these young kids lean into recovery and embrace a healthy life without substance use is extraordinary. I often think what it would have been like if I had this kind of opportunity when I was in high school and how much pain and suffering it would have prevented.
